Explanation and exercise of designations on the thread. Different types of threads are to be distinguished by fastening- and motional-threads as well as profile, direction of rotation and pace.

Manufacturing of Threads
by metal removal like tapping, thread cutting and screwing is descibed. Examples of non-cutting manufacturing of threads. Selection and application of appropriate testing equipment for quality assurance.
